Siebel High Interactivity Framework for IE is a client-side component used to run Siebel CRM applications in High Interactivity mode within Microsoft Internet Explorer. Implemented through ActiveX controls, it enables desktop-like features in the browser—such as rich menus, keyboard shortcuts, drag-and-drop, inline editing, and file attachment handling—that standard HTML alone does not provide.
This framework is designed for enterprise deployments and typically installs automatically when users access a Siebel High Interactivity environment, or it may be distributed by IT. It runs only on Windows with Internet Explorer and often requires specific browser security settings and trusted site configuration.
Note: The High Interactivity approach is legacy technology and has largely been superseded by Siebel Open UI, which supports modern browsers without ActiveX. Organizations should use the framework only when maintaining existing Siebel HI applications and should ensure it is obtained from a trusted internal source due to the security implications of ActiveX controls.
Siebel High Interactivity Framework for IE is developed by Siebel Systems, Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.0 and 2.0.
